Aero Academy 2026 Update 4 - Young Flyers Takes Flight!

It's been a while since our last update on Aero Academy, but our young aviators have done a lot of fun learning in the meantime! Both Young Flyers and Camp 2 have had a great time learning how to talk like pilots on walkie talkies and learned the language behind how to fly. Our young aviators have also learned how a pilot interprets weather and how to make go/no-go flying decisions through the process and have learned about the parts of airplanes and airports as well.

Young Flyers had a special treat this past Thursday...a flight around the airport where each aviator had the time to take the flight controls! Despite the hot weather, spirits were high and our campers loved it - for some of them it was their very first time they had ever flown! Our Young Flyers have also been building a model of Meadville Airport over the past few weeks that is nearing completion, so stay tuned for more updates in the coming days as our first two camps come to a close.
