Aero Academy 2026 Update 6 - Young Flyers & Camp 2 Come To A Close

Throughout the past four weeks we have shared many exciting updates about the amazing aviation journey that our young aviators have experienced during camp. As we have reached the conclusion of our first two camps for this summer, we'd like to stop and reflect on all the wonderful things that have come from this year's Young Flyers and Camp 2 Aero Academy programs. From learning about the four forces of flight, through the wind tunnel, to communications fun on walkie talkies, as well as how pilots interpret and adapt to weather, these young aviators learned a great deal about airplanes and has given many of them the spark that will lead to a life-long love of aviation. Each camp had fun with their own specific projects along the way as well, with Young Flyers teaming up to complete a model of our home airport here in Meadville and Camp 2 developing and launching rockets for the first time. In between it all, our young aviators made new friends, had amazing flight experiences and laughed a lot together.

This is not the end of the Aero Academy journey, however. We have recieved requests from many of our young aviators for more opportunities in the future. We will have more information to share in the coming weeks on future plans for more camp opportunities, so stay tuned to our blog posts and announcements on our Aero Academy page.

As our younger camps end, we will pivot our coverage to one camp that is still in session - our brilliant young aviators in Camp 4...stay tuned for more in the coming days!
