North Coast Flight School won the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania "Education Award" for excellence in Aviation Education for 4 years in a row. Our unique approach to exposing kids as young as 10 years old to aviation careers set the aviation industry's tongues wagging. What was originally a group of twelve kids running around an airport having the time of their lives has now grown into a national program.

Young Flyers (Age 10-11)
This camp is designed specifically for students ages 10 to 11 years of age with no prior experience in aviation. Young Flyers uses hands-on activities to expose kids to aviation. Kids will be introduced to airplane flight for the first time with a flight around the airport with an instructor, where they will have a chance to take controls.

Camp 1 (Age 12)
Students will be introduced to important piloting skills and information. They will be introduced to hands-on activities to demonstrate aviation concepts. Students will be given a flight over the Meadville/Conneaut Lake area and may take the controls.

Camp 2 (Age 13)
While continuing to prepare students to become a pilot, they are now exposed to more in-depth concepts they will use to fly an airplane. Students will demonstrate their knowledge by building and launching their own rocket! Students will also get a chance to fly around the local area and may take the controls.

Camp 3 (Age 14)
This camp is designed for the student that exhibits a great interest in aviation. Participants will plan a cross-country flight during the camp and gain a multitude of hands-on experiences. Our group of young aviators will learn about weight and balance, aviation weather & radio communications, with each student flying one leg of the trip at the end of camp. Our aspiring aviators each fly one leg of the adventure they planned and receive a logbook recording their time on the flight controls.

Camp 4 (Age 15)
Camp 4 is designed for the young pilot that is ready to make a commitment to obtain their Private Pilot Certificate. The students will receive 5 hours of flight time at a convenient time, as well as a weekly class. While flying, students will learn the complex knowledge and skills necessary for successful pilots and establishes the early basics of how to safely fly airplanes. Additional 5 hour blocks will be available for purchase during the session.

Camp 5 (Age 16)
Camp 5 is a full Private Pilot ground school. Students will receive the books and necessary materials for the completion of the class. Students will have access to Gleim AvLearn practice exams to prepare for their Private Pilot Written Exam. The class meets 2 hours twice per week for 8 weeks.
