Aero Academy 2026 Update 1

Aero Academy is now in session! Both Young Flyers and Camp 2 had an opportunity to explore the four forces of flight and do experiments with lift, weight, thrust and drag. In both camps we combined all of these together during a demonstration of a wind tunnel, where our campers designed airfoils to be tested in the tunnel. Kids learned how differences in wing shape, orientation and angle of attack change how an airplane flies. Later on the kids got to take a walk around a helicopter and watch an airplane land and taxi! Camp 2 had the opportunity to review the phonetic alphabet - the alphabet that pilots use when communicating. Our campers are already having a blast but we are just getting started.
