This Camp is an 8 week course is designed for students with no prior knowledge or experience in flying.
(Ages 12 - 14) Entry Level Camp for youngsters.
Meets: 1 Day / Week (Tuesday's in 2011)
Students will be introduced to:
1. Aircraft instruments and Flight Controls.
2. Pre-Flight Inspections of the Aircraft.
3. Radio Communication at Controlled Airfields.
4. Airport Traffic Patterns.
5. Aviation Weather - Reading METAR & TAF
6. Field Trips to various airport points of interest.
7. Basic introduction to sectional charts and navigation
8. 15 minute flight over Presque Isle
9. 15 minute introduction to the flight simulator

Camp 2
This is the main body of all our summer camps.
(Ages 14 - up) Open to ALL students with a strong interest.
*This Camp is a pre-requisite for Camp 3
This 8 week Camp is designed for the young student that shows a high interest in obtaining his/her pilot's license. Students with no previous experience are welcome however the youngest (or if under 14yrs.) of this age group are encouraged to take Aero Camp #1 first.
Meets: 1 Day / Week (Tuesdays in 2011)
Students will be introduced to:
1. Planning and actually flying a leg of a Cross Country flight.
2. Assist in Pre Flight Inspections.
3. Learn radio communications in controlled / uncontrolled airfields.
4. Learn about traffic patterns.
5. Study the FAA Written Test questions necessary for obtaining a pilot’s license.
6. Aviation weather - METAR & TAF
7. Navigation & Flight Planning
8. 15 minute flight over Presque Isle
Starting Date: June 14th, 2011.
Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Ending Date: August 9th, 2011.
No Camp July 19th, 2011.

Camp 3
This is a full on, 8 week VFR Ground School designed for the student who is or soon will be actively flying and working towards achieving their Private Pilots License.
(Ages 15 - up) VFR Ground School
Meets: 3 Days a week (Mon, Wed. Fri. in 2011)
Students will:
1. Receive ALL Books and necessary Materials for the completion of the Written Pilots Exam. Assist in Pre Flight Inspections.
2. Meet 2 Days a week for classroom work from the provided materials. Learn about traffic patterns.
3. Meet 1 Day a week for work on the FAA questions from the Exam, and to review the weeks work.
4. Schedule and actually take the computer generated FAA Written Pilots Exam. This will be done individually outside of normal class time at the student’s available time.
Starting Date: June 13th, 2011.
Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 pm
Ending Date: August 10th, 2011.
*No Camp July 4th,18th,and 20th, 2011.
Includes: Aero Camp T-shirt, All necessary books and materials
FAA Written Private Pilots Exam.
