     N.C.F.S Summer Programs and Information
North Coast Flight School will be conducting two aviation camps for students entering grades 7 through 12. All camps are

 

taught by Certified Flight Instructors, and are designed to introduce students to aviation concepts and procedures that are

 

part of the required training for a Private Pilots License. Camps will be held from 9-11am, on day per week for eight weeks.

 

These programs will begin during the week of June 22 and will end the week of August 10th. The camps are as follows.

 

 

  

Beginner's Camp (Grades 7-8)+(Grades 9-12)                                  Cost $150 Per Student

This camp is designed for students with no prior knowledge or experience with flying. Students will be introduced to the follow:

-Airplane Instruments and Flight Controls

-Pre-flight Inspection

-Radio Communications at Controlled Fields

-Airport Traffic Patterns

-Field Trip around the airport

-Approximately 1 hour of flight time

 

 

 

Cathedral Prep. Aviation Program;
                Starting Tues. June 16th, and meeting every Tues. / Thurs. from 9:00 - 11:00am North Coast Flight School inc. is pleased to be providing the 1st. accredited summer school program for aviation.  This program will be held over 30 hrs. of instruction and will conclude with the actual written FAA exam.  This is the first school program being supported by a local school for actual class credit.

 

  Advanced Camp (Grades 9-12)                                                         Cost $175 Per Student

This camp is designed for students who have previously attended our Beginner's camp, are enrolled in a high school aviation programs, or have begun taking flight lessons. Students will:

-Plan a Cross Country Flight

-Assist in Pre-flight Inspections

-Learn Radio Communications at a Controlled and Uncontrolled Fields

-Learn about airport traffic patterns and fly them

-Fly a Cross Country Flight to Ashtabula Ohio

-Study actual FAA Written Test questions for Private Pilot license
